How automation works.

All of our garage door operators are equipped with the travelling motor operator system developed by SOMMER. This makes them especially smooth-running and durable. The motor track carriage moves itself along a tensioned chain so that no frictional loss or loss of power occurs.

What makes their operators so powerful is the clever technology. Since the motors move and are not in a fixed, static position, they are always exactly where their power is needed. This ensures optimal application of force and the highest level of security at the same time.

 This gentle transmission technology ensures a long service life and much less wear and tear of the garage door operator. In addition, the operator is completely maintenance-free. Since the chain does not have to be oiled, it won’t leave messy oil spots in your garage or on your car.

What needs repairing?

Cone and Cable replacements are the most commonly requested item for garage door repairs. Cone and cable garage door repairs should only be carried out by experienced garage door repair fitters, as incorrect spring adjustments can lead to serious injuries.

New Spindles are normally required when a flat spot occurs on the roller. This is mainly due to a greased track, resulting in the spindles sliding up and down instead of rolling, causing the garage door to operate inefficiently. Tracks should be sprayed with either a light lubricant or a 3in1 type oil.

Spare or replacement handsets for automated garage door systems require on-site programming.

There are a few things that can render your door useless if they become faulty. Our job is to make sure we spot them before they occur. With a regular service to your door, we can keep it going as long as possible. But if a fault has already occurred then we will endeavour to fix it swiftly and advise on how best to maintain it.
